Seaside Greenfield Site Comes to Market at SA’s Hallett Cove

A 12ha seaside residential development site approved for 171 allotments at South Australia’s scenic Hallett Cove is being offloaded by its “local” owner.
The 11.99ha oceanfront block at Lot 4102 Burlington Road is being marketed by McGees Property’s James Juers and Simon Lambert via an expressions-of-interest campaign due to close on March 12.
In a statement, Juers and Lambert said a “local owner” was letting the block go but declined to tell The Urban Developer specifically how local the vendor was.
Zoned General Neighbourhood, the site has received planning and land division consent for 169 residential allotments ranging from 194sq m to 1012sq m plus two super lots for more intensive housing styles.
The block fronts Burlington Road, Sigma Road and Fairbairn Drive and has multiple access points.
“There’s nothing else like it available and nothing like it offered to the market in the past 10 years,” Juers said.
He said the “shovel-ready site with favourable zoning” was an opportunity to deliver a “flagship community in one of Adelaide’s most desirable southern locations”.
Juers said interest in the property had already been received from national and international buyers.

Lambert said the block was the last major residential landholding in “fast-growing” Hallett Cove.
“A premium residential development, land lease community or lifestyle village would all be suited to the site,” he said.
The block is 175m from the ocean and near Hallett Cove’s railway station and shopping centre, and the McLaren Vale wine region.
